Sharpening The Saw Today

Today we had the privilege to have Pastor Sergio De La Mora share an inspiring message with our staff.  He did an amazing job!  Here are a few insights that stood out to me that I thought I’d share with you:

1.       When you study Leviticus, you will discover the messy nature of sacrifices made at the altar, showing us that God is in the “mess” of ministry.

2.       People are more important than projects.

3.       The church is suppose to be a “house of hospitality” for the lost and hurting.

4.       My favorite:  “There is some scriptures you read, and there are some scriptures that read you.”

Wow!  I want to challenge all leaders to regularly have other leaders pouring into you, your leadership, and more specifically on your turf.  This exposes your people to other great leaders.  Sergio is a great leader and a great friend.  Hanging out with Sergio reminds me to be grateful because I am rich in friendships.
